Geum 'Red Wings'
New in 2023.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

Brilliant, semi double, vermillion red blooms mass on tall, airy stems through spring and summer to frost. Sure to draw the eye and fill a vase! The foliage grows low to the ground and is mid green and crinkled with a light fuzz.
Propagated by division, this Antique Perennials import and grown plant is of the highest quality. Certainly garden worthy.
Geums are easily woven through beds and borders, used as edging plants or beneath deciduous trees. Tough, hardy and easy care!
Geums are highly valued, low growing ground covers or fillers with plenty of flowers. They establish quickly and need little in the way of care. The colourful flowers will adorn your beds with plenty left over to fill your vases.
Geums are relatively shade tolerant herbaceous perennials and grow best in morning sun, the harsh afternoon rays can sometimes scorch them, depending on moisture levels.
Plant Geums in well drained, humus rich soil. Water well to establish, plants take around four weeks to establish and should be watered every other day during this time. Once established they are dry tolerant. Remove spent flower heads to encourage more blooms during the growing season and they can repeat into autumn.
