Sunset shades.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.
Have your very own sunset in the garden with these vibrant, burnt orange, star shaped flowers. The petal reverse has a cool, green tint. Inside the bloom is flushed red and yellow, with dark green basal markings. Each flower is 3-6cm across.
Tulip 'Whittallii' is a robust species tulip. Up to four flowers open per stem on established bulbs. The mid green leaves grow to 20cm long, with a touch of purple-red on the edges.
Tulip 'Whittallii' originates in Turkey. British tourist, Ernest Whittall discovered it growing there in 1929.
Species Tulips have a more relaxed or whimsical feel than the common hybridized varieties. If planted in a well drained soil in a spot that does not get too hot over summer, the bulbs can be left in the ground for many years. Species Tulips are ideal for rock gardens, lawn plantings, pots or towards the front of a border.
