Stoke's Aster Blue Moon
Once in a blue moon.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

A rare Aster that was bred in Victoria, Stoke's Aster 'Blue Moon' will flower for months through summer and into autumn. The large, shaggy, cornflour blue flower heads are up to 7cm across.
Prune spent flower stems of Stoke's Aster 'Blue Moon' back to the base regularly to encourage more blooms.
Stoke's Aster is a dry hardy perennial once established. Choose a sunny location with protection from the hot afternoon sun. Plant in moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soil. Good drainage is important because if they are sitting in water, especially over winter they tend to rot.
Stoke's Aster are known as evergreen, but in most cases the foliage over winter becomes unattractive and is best cut back. We advise pruning back to the ground in autumn, once it has finished flowering.
