Toad Lily Spotted Pink
Orchid like autumn flowers.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

White, star shaped flowers with pink and purple spots. The glossy, dark green foliage grows to 12cm long. Extremely hardy perennials with orchid like blooms, these are a garden favourite that add an exotic touch.
In a shady garden Tricyrtis are an excellent compliment to Winter Roses because they flower alternately. They also grow well with Hostas and other woodland plants. Grows best in a moist, well drained soil in a shaded or filtered light position.
Toad Lilies are a woodland plant that require a humus rich, moist but well drained soil in semi shade to filtered light. Water to establish and keep moist during active growth. Remove spent flowers to encourage more blooms.
Whilst Toad Lilies or Tricyrtis sp. look like Orchids, they are in the Lily family. It is variably suggested they are commonly known as Toad Lilies because they like to grow where Toads live; or because they are spotted like toads; or because of their lumpy nectaries.
