Tuberose flowers have a strong and alluring perfume, similar to that of Jasmine. The flowers are also excellent for picking, so you can bring the fragrance indoors. The impressive flower stems stretch 60-80cm tall.
The bright green leaves of Tuberose are clustered at the base of the plant with smaller leaves forming along the stem.
Plant Tuberose into a well drained soil in a full sun location. In cool climates they need to be protected from the cold, in a garden hot spot, they require a long season to flower at their best. They can also be grown in pots. Ensure Tuberose are protected from strong winds.
Tuberoses make a good companions for Agapanthus and Crocosmias.
