This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

Large umbels of fragrant, trumpet shaped flowers in groups of 6-12. The blooms are white with a strong pink mid rib and flush.
The foliage of River Lily is blue green and has an elegant arched form. The leaves occasionally have a wavy edge. Leaves are 60-90cm long.
Water River Lily to establish, and keep moist in active growth. River Lilies, as the name suggests are native to the embankments of lakes and streams of South Africa. Plant into well drained, humus rich, moist soil. It will also grow in bog gardens, but bulbs should be lifted during winter dormancy to avoid rot. You can do this easily by growing them in pots, then simply lifting the pot out of the bog garden as the leaves begin to yellow. Store in a relatively dry location until shoots begin in spring.
The botanical name, Crinum bulbispermum refers to two things. Crinum for the Greek, Krinon meaning Lily. The second part of the name, bulbispermum refers to the large, bulb shaped seeds which are produced. These are seed raised plants so colour will vary.
