This bicolour Lilium has an apricot heart with red petal tips. A very eye catching combination. Flowers are large, up to 14cm across. The blooms are on 95cm stems.
These amazing Liliums will bloom twice in 2013! That is incredible value with ‘double the bang for your buck’!
Plant these specially cold treated Lilium bulbs by the first week of March and you will have flowers in May and again in November-December. After you have enjoyed the May flowers fertilise then allow the foliage (at least 1/3 of it if you need to tidy) to die down naturally. The flowers will be back as good as ever in summer.
Part of a stunning collection of Asiatic Liliums named for the Artist who wrote himself into history by breaking all the laws of colour to create genius. Matisse continues to be an inspiration.
Asiatic Liliums are hardy cultivars with bright, colourful, upward facing flowers. Stems average 4-8 blooms, numbers increase as the bulbs establish. They make excellent cut flowers and are so easy to grow.
Simply plant, your Asiatic Liliums, fertilise and enjoy. Leave them in the ground to establish and they will bring you years of joy. In fact, the longer Liliums have to establish the blooms they produce. Choose a humus rich, well drained soil in a sunny location. They will appreciated afternoon shade in warmer climates.
