Rosy pink flowers with yellow spotted inner petals.
Alstroemeria or Peruvian Lilies are a flower lover's dream. They are the perfect solution for reliable garden colour. These wonderful bloomers flower for many months each year. We love them for garden flowers and they also last so well indoors. The narrow, mid green foliage grows along the stem similar to Lilies.
Plant in well drained, humus rich soil. Choose a sunny location. Water to establish and then ensure you keep them moist when in flower, so they keep on blooming and blooming. Add some mulch around the roots as the foliage emerges to help with water retention. Once they are established they are fairly trouble free, just make sure you protect new foliage from slugs and snails.
The tubers spread to form clumps up to 100cm across. They should be left in the ground to naturalise and divided as they become overcrowded. The tubers need to be planted as soon as they are received. Orders including Alstroemeria are sent February onward.
