Floral gold.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

Pastel, golden yellow flowers to dazzle you through spring and summer. There is a soft pink blush through the sepals. With Songbird Aquilegias you will have oodles of flowers, to enjoy in the garden with plenty left over for picking!
The Aquilegia Song Bird Series are F1 hybrids* with larger, upward facing flowers complimented with long spurs, they average 7cm across and boast a long bloom period. The foliage is more compact and lush than the common forms. The Aquilegia Songbird Series holds the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit for quality garden plants.
Aquilegias are cottage garden essentials, with sweet flowers and delightfully lacy foliage they lend perfectly to the soft planting scheme. Aquilegia's elegant, fern like leaves make a beautiful foil for the fading spring flowering bulbs.
Aquilegias thrive in light to moderate shade, though, with sufficient moisture will tolerate full sun. Aquilegia should be planted in moist, well drained, humus rich soil.
After the initial flowering has finished, you can cut the stems back to the basal foliage and fertilise for a second flush of flowers. You can choose to leave the last flowers of the season to form seed heads for future generations of plants. Seedlings are unlikely to flower true to type as they hybridise easily – though with Aquilegias we don’t think you can lose as they are all so gorgeous!
Aquilegias are suitable for growing in a lightly shaded border, massed plantings or in large containers.
* F1 Hybrids are the first generation plants from two different parent species.
