Shade performers.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

Fluffy, upright panicles of crimson red flowers over graceful foliage. Astilbe 'Fanal' is an impressive dwarf variety that blooms open from early summer and last for months.
Astilbe 'Fanal' will grow to form nice clumps of dark green foliage. It looks wonderful as part of a woodland garden, or shady border, alongside Hostas and Winter Roses. Astilbe 'Fanal' holds the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit.
Left in the garden, the blooms will turn into bronze seed heads, these have autumn/winter ornamental value. You can also choose to pick the flowers as they last well in a vase.
Astilbe 'Fanal' grows best in part shade to morning sun positions. The warmer your climate, the more shade they will need. Astilbe will grow in full shade but won't flower as well as they could. In sunny positions you will need to ensure they have adequate moisture or they tend to become straggly.
Plant into a humus rich, moist, well drained soil, an acid PH is preferred. Water in your Astilbe and keep moist in active growth. Add a little mulch in summer to help retain moisture around the roots.
