The silver stems are topped with steel blue blooms. The thistle like flowers open freely for many weeks. The compact form of Sea Holly lends it well to pots and small gardens. Sea Holly 'Blue Hobbit' is the first of its kind and it is a sight to behold.
Sea Holly 'Blue Hobbit' has long lasting flowers that open on branched stems. Their spiky form is excellent for adding texture to the garden. They are a perfect compliment to a cottage border.

The dark green leaves have a slight hint of silver or blue also which compliments the flowers. Sea Holly is a member of the parsley family. As the plants establish you will get more and more flowers.

Plant Sea Holly 'Blue Hobbit' in a sunny spot to get the best colouring. Sea Holly grows best in moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soil. Though they very adaptable and are endemic to poor, dry and rocky soils. Good drainage is the most important element and they will thrive in hot, dry sites. Water to establish, then only if rainfall is low. They are dry tolerant once established.

The flowers of Sea Holly 'Blue Hobbit' are good both cut and dried.
