Omphalodes ‘Cherry Ingram’ is a wonderful evergreen shady ground cover with masses of tiny 'true blue' flowers cover this evergreen perennial throughout spring. As the blooms age they take on more violet shades. Each flower is just under a centimetre across and opens on loose racemes over the foliage.

The heart shaped foliage of Omphalodes 'Cherry Ingram' are a lovely green and form a dense ground cover. It will even shine through frost. The leaves grow to around 10cm long.

Plant Omphalodes 'Cherry Ingram' along garden edges, in pots or rockeries. It grows well and in similar situations to Hostas, Winter Roses and ferns

Grow in moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soil. Water to establish then only if rainfall is low. Best in filtered light to part shade. In cool climates more sun will be tolerated but you will need to water the plants more often.

Omphalodes 'Cherry Ingram' holds the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit so you know it not only looks good but is easy care. Its common name is Naval Wort. It is named in honour of plantsman/ornithologist Collingwood Ingram.
