A woodland plant of great beauty.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

Wood Anemone Robinsoniana is a fantastic, low growing, shade loving, flowering ground cover.
The dark green, deeply leaves provide a lovely layer of foliage upon which float a flock of lilac stars. The flowers of Wood Anemone Robinsoniana are soft, lavender blue with a ring of golden stamen and a silver cream reverse. Each bloom is 3-4cm across.
Wood Anemones spread by rhizomes just beneath the soil surface and will gradually multiply to form a nice clump in just a few years, they are non-invasive. Combine Wood Anemone Robinsoniana with other shade plants such as Hellebores and Hostas, or try them solo beneath deciduous trees or shrubs such as Hydrangeas.
Plant Wood Anemone Robinsoniana in cool, moist, humus rich, well drained soil. Water to establish and then keep moist in active growth. As the weather warms, the plants will die back to become dormant through summer to emerge late winter early spring.
