Gladioli Frizzled Coral Lace

These frilly Gladioli are known as Parrot Gladioli, a Gladiolus x dalenii hybrid. Once popular they fell out of favour with florists and are only now making a comeback after 20 years in the background.

Gladioli are hardy and reliable flowers that can be easily timed for a succession of tall summer colour. Gladioli are ideal in clumps or woven through beds, they combine well with Lilies, Salvias and Cornflowers.

Ensure you plant your Gladioli bulbs deeply enough, this will reduce the need for staking. Gladioli like a sunny position and you need to ensure you keep them moist when they are in flower for best results.
