These fantastic, next generation Cannova Canna Lilies have abundant flowers and the ability to thrive in both cool and tropical zones.
The flowers of Cannova Canna Lilies will, given the right conditions, begin to bloom in late spring, and repeat up to the first frost, or when the days get too short. The ornamental leaves have a lush, tropical appeal. Cannova Canna Lilies are particularly bushy, producing fresh leaves throughout the growing season.
Cannova Canna Lilies are F1 hybrids, which means they are the first generation of plants bred from two different parent species. They were bred in the Netherlands, and released in 2013, causing a lot of excitement. They are the result of 50 years of intensive breeding and research into creating a more cool hardy Canna Lily. They are quick to establish, have good branching, and excellent repeat flowering. They are also free from the diseases so many Canna’s suffer from today.
Cannova Canna are fantastic in the garden, and can be easily grown in pots.
Plant Cannova Canna Lilies in humus rich, moist, well drained soil. Water to establish, then keep moist during active growth, they become more dry tolerant as they establish. It is a good idea to add some compost in winter and fertiliser in summer - easy!
