A lovely, easy care addition to a shade garden. The Merrybell flowers open at the ends of the stems from late spring to early summer. They are creamy gold, and hang like dainty fairies.
The leaves of Merrybells 'Cobblewood Gold' are mid green and have a gorgeous, golden variegation. The leaves grow on arching stems to 40cm tall.
Merrybells, or Uvularia look a lot like Disporum, and grow in similar conditions. It is native to deciduous woodland areas of North America.
Plant Merrybells 'Cobblewood Gold' in humus rich, moist, well drained soil in a full shade to semi shade position. They grow well with Hostas, Solomon's Seal, ferns and the like.
Merrybells 'Cobblewood Gold' was introduced by Darrell Probst in 1997 and is fast becoming a favourite in gardens around the world.
