Hosta 'Dew Drops' has gorgeous emerald green leaves with a nice cream edge. The flowers are a lovely lavender pink.
Hostas are handsome foliage plants that thrive in shady spots. Plant them into humus rich, moist, well drained soil. Water to establish and keep them just moist in active growth. The cooler the climate, the more sun they will tolerate, you will know if you have gone too far if the leaves scorch. In too much shade they become leggy and won't flower as well.
Hostas tolerate root competition well and so are ideal for planting under trees, deciduous or evergreen. They are suitable for potted plantings.
Hosta foliage emerges early spring. It begins to die back in autumn, when it should be removed from the garden.
