Bergunden Freesias Tahiti
Plant extras for picking!
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.
Soft, mauve blue flowers. Big blooms with a nice perfume.
Freesias are a spring must have. Bergunden Freesias have single, large, bright florets in profusion through spring. The blooms are surrounded by a cloud of perfume.
From planting Freesias average 100-120 days to flower.
Freesias are easy to grow bulbs that are vigorous and hardy by nature. They grow best in full sun to light shade in a well drained soil. If grown in light shade, their colour tends to hold a little longer than in full sun; though in full sun you will have more blooms. If they are not getting enough light they will flop over. Freesia bulbs are best left to naturalise and will only need to be lifted for division every three or four years.
Freesias are suitable for pots, mass plantings, beds and borders. Plant them somewhere you can appreciate their delightful fragrance.
The blooms last up to three weeks in a vase and are best picked as the first flower opens.
