Little Leaf Linden
A stately tree.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

A handsome big tree with lovely little heart shaped leaves. The leaves have a nice two tone affect as the top is dark green and the underside light green. The foliage turns yellow in autumn before dropping to unveil the striking branch structure.
In summer creamy white flowers bloom amongst the leaves, they have a light fragrance. Each bloom is around 2cm across, and is followed by small nut like fruits (inedible). The grey bark is smooth and becomes fissured as the tree matures.
Little Leaf Linden is tolerant of urban pollution. It thrives in moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soils in full sun to part shade. Tilia need regular water whilst establishing.
Little Leaf Linden is a good choice for street and park trees, or for pollarding or pleaching.
Tilia cordata is also known as Small-Leaved Lime or The Winter Orange
