Anthriscus Ravenswing
Absolute elegance.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

Anthriscus ‘Ravenswing’ has glorious purple foliage and lovely tall sprays of white flowers. This plant is loved by designers and is often seen in the gardens at Chelsea Flower Show.
The ethereal purple foliage is lacy or fern like. The deep, almost black, colouring is great for adding contrast in the garden. Purple foliage is very trendy at the moment and this is an exceptional option.
Anthriscus ‘Ravenswing’ has flat umbels, on tall stems. . In combination with the foliage it is head turning, or you can pick them for your vases. The masses of white flowers open from pink bracts.
Anthriscus ‘Ravenswing’ is amazing in cottage gardens. It also works well with grasses or meadow plantings.
Anthriscus ‘Ravenswing’ may self seed, but not at any great rate, it is no bully. You can easily weed out any undesirables, or move the good, purple selections around your garden, or share them with friends. I have had it my garden for three years, and just two have popped up – though it has a lot of competition where it grows. Anthriscus ‘Ravenswing’ is a short lived perennial or biennial so you may want to save some seed for sowing in autumn or spring.
Plant Anthriscus ‘Ravenswing’ in moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soil. A full sun to semi shade position works well – if there is too much shade you won’t get good foliage colour. Water to establish, then only if rainfall is low.
Anthriscus ‘Ravenswing’ is commonly known as Cow Parsley and part of the Araceae family along with the herb Chevril, but is inedible. Another common names are Queen Anne’s lace, Gypsy Laces and Lady’s Needlework.
