Aster Rosenwichtel
Compact colour.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

The low mound of deep green foliage is almost engulfed in flowers from early autumn. The lilac pink, semi double flowers proliferate for weeks on end. A nice, low growing choice with impressive vigour.
This petite Aster is easily used in rock gardens, border edges, pots or wherever you need a glorious pop of colour. Each bloom is around 3.5cm across and they begin late summer and continue for many weeks.
Once established the plants don't require a lot of water, even though they grow and flower through the hotter times of the year. They are vigorous, hardy and offer great quantities of colourful blooms.
Plant in a sunny spot in humus rich soil. Water to establish and keep moist in active growth.
In the language of flowers, Aster's denote love or daintiness. The word, Aster, is Latin for Star. Asters are commonly known as Easter Daisies or Michaelmas Daisies.
Asters have been botanically separated into different genus. The European species remain Aster. The North American have changed into three genera, Symphyotrichum, Eurybia and Doellingeria. We like the umbrella Aster to keep it simple and a little old fashioned but the current classification this variety would be Symphyotrichum novi-belgii ‘Rosenwichtel’
