Lilium 'Black Beauty'
The wow factor.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

Lilium ‘Black Beauty’ has been loved for generations, and for good reason, the tall stems are strong, packed with blooms and rarely require staking.
The flowers have a white border, deep maroon speckled flash and a green star at the heart. They are around 7cm across. Once established, they bear around 50 blooms. There have been counts of up over 100 flowers, so they are well worth looking after.
The stems are tall, dark and handsome with mid green leaves. Lily ‘Black Beauty’ flowers freely and the bulbs are tough as old boots. It is an excellent choice for beginners.
‘Black Beauty’ Lily is a cross between Lilium speciosum rubrum and Lilium henryi. The triumphant result is a Turk's cap type Lilium with abundant flowers.
Gardeners are returning the ‘old fashioned’ Lilies because of their hardy nature and nostalgic charm.
Plant in fertile soil with good drainage. By adding plenty of fertiliser and organic matter to the soil when you are planting, you will have bigger and better blooms. It grows best in a sunny location with protection from the hot afternoon rays. Keep the soil moist during growth for longer lasting blooms
These old world lilies are the perfect complement to cottage gardens but can fit in almost anywhere.
