A rare plant of great beauty. Mottled mid green and purple leaves form a skirt below the deep maroon flowers.
A rare woodland plant of distinction. Plant into humus rich, moist, well drained soils. Neutral to acid PH preferred. Enrich soils with rotted leaf matter or compost before planting. Grow in a part shade position, a good companion to Hostas and Hellebores.
Protect Trillium foliage from slugs and snails. Becomes dormant in summer.
