Quick to establish, this vine is a winner. Hailing from Brazil, it grows well throughout most of Australia. It is a twining climber.
The leaves are mid green and around 6-7cm long. They form a dense covering. You can train your Potato vine onto a trellis, pergola, archway, wherever you like.
A semi evergreen climber that will die back in cool climates. Plant in moderately fertile, well drained soil. Potato Vine is also suitable for potted planting. It is tolerant of coastal conditions.
Keep an eye out for Aphids in summer. Other common names include Jasmine Nightshade and Potato Climber.
