Outstanding, upstanding colour.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

A vigorous, compact Foxglove with large, strawberry pink blooms.
Foxglove ‘Summer King’ is a cross of Digitalis grandiflora, a yellow Foxglove and Digitalis purpurea, a pink form. The blend produces strawberry pink blooms with a yellow flush and gives rise to its common name, Strawberry Foxglove. Flowers will grow true from seed, they are biennial so will flower in their second year.
Foxglove ‘Summer King’ holds a prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit, so you know it is garden worthy.
Foxglove blooms start to open at the bottom of the stalks and gradually move upward providing a long show of fantastic colour. This tall, showy plant is a striking addition to any garden. Digitalis look best grouped toward the middle or back of a bed, where their tall blossoms add colour.
Plant Foxgloves into well drained soil and keep moist in active growth. The flowers of Foxgloves are produced on a tall spike and are tubular. The individual flowers are about the size and shape of a thimble.
