Statice Blue Seas

Statice is so easy to grow, it is virtually fool proof. The papery flowers are long lasting. So long lasting, they can be dried and last virtually for years. The flowers have a mauve purple to blue calyx and white corolla. 'Blue Seas' is a more compact form with tough, leather like, spoon shaped, mid green leaves.

Statice 'Blue Seas' grows well in coastal conditions and poor soils. Water to establish then only if rainfall is low. Dry tolerant once established. Use Statice 'Blue Seas' in dry borders, gravel gardens, or in containers.

Statice is botanically known as Limonium peregrinum. Other common names include Sea Lavender.
