Garden gold.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.
A tough plant with plenty of appeal. The large, golden flower heads are up to 12cm across, forming a gorgeous layer of gold. As they are sterile, the flowers open for an impressive time, from early summer all the way through to autumn.
Achillea ‘Coronation Gold’ is ideal for colour in cottage and dry garden beds alike. It holds the prestigious Royal Horticultural Societies Award of Garden Merit for plants of outstanding excellence.
The bold flower heads bloom above fragrant, evergreen, fern like foliage. Achillea ‘Coronation Gold’ performs well, even in tough, dry conditions.
Plant Achillea ‘Coronation Gold’ in moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soil in full sun. Water in well, they become dry tolerant once established.
Achillea ‘Coronation Gold’ will form clumps at a steady pace and can be divided every three years or so. Some of the basal foliage will even stick around through winter, after the flower stems have faded. Blooms are suitable for picking and can be dried.
Achillea are commonly known as Yarrow.
