A tough plant with lots of floral appeal. Large, heads of golden blooms, each up to 12cm across open from early summer all the way through to autumn.
Achillea 'Coronation Gold' is ideal colour for cottage gardens and dry garden beds alike.
Tall stems with small flowers that group together to form layers of colour over soft, fragrant, fern like foliage. Achillea 'Coronation Gold' flowers open even in tough, dry conditions and can even be cut for vase displays.
Plant Achillea 'Coronation Gold' in full sun. Water to establish, then dry tolerant. Any well drained soil will do. Ensure good air flow around the plants and avoid windy spots.
Achillea 'Coronation Gold' will form clumps at a steady pace and will need to be divided every three years or so. Some of the basal foliage will even stick around through winter, after the stems have faded.
Achillea are commonly known as Yarrow. Achillea 'Coronation Gold' is a sterile variety.
