Coreopsis Sunfire

Sunshine yellow, Daisy like flowers with a maroon eye. These brilliant blooms open in abundance for months on end. Coreopsis 'Sunfire' is a top variety that holds the prestigious Fleuroselect* seal of approval.

Coreopsis 'Sunfire' is a compact cultivar with a uniform habit, that is easy to grow. The long stems are ideal for cutting, and as a bonus, picking them also encourages more blooms. Each flower is 5cm across.

The foliage of Coreopsis 'Sunfire' is light to mid green, to around 10cm at the base. The foliage grows up the stem but is at is most dense towards the base.

Cut Coreopsis 'Sunfire' right back to the base once the first round of flowers has finished, then add some fertiliser to encourage a second flush. Then again after the final flush of blooms, once the foliage begins to wane, to maintain compact, healthy growth.

Plant in moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soil. Choose a full sun to lightly shaded position. Coreopsis 'Sunfire' looks good towards the front of a border, or in pots.
