Aster Twilight

Enjoy a profusion of lavender blue blooms through summer and into autumn. Aster ‘Twilight’ is vigorous, hardy and offers armloads of blooms.

The upright stems have mid green, heart shaped leaves growing along them. A great attribute of this Aster is that it grows equally well in sun and part shade. In deep shade they will not flower as well.

Plant Aster 'Twilight' in borders, cottage gardens or large pots. By dead heading the plants regularly you will promote more blooms, plus the flowers last well in a vase.

Once established it won’t require a lot of water, even though it grows and flowers through the hotter times of the year. It has excellent mildew resistance.

In the language of flowers, Aster's denote love or daintiness. The word, Aster, is Latin for Star. Asters are commonly known as Easter Daisies or Michaelmas Daisies.
