Elephant's Foot
Collectible and great in pots.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

A quirky caudiciform plant with climbing stems.
Weird is definitely wonderful with this unusual specimen. The above ground, woody tubers, have deep fissures, which makes it appear like its name sake, an Elephant's foot. The tuber will eventually reach up to 90cm across.
Emerging from this unusual tuber are climbing tendrils of blue green leaves. Each heart shaped leaf is around 6cm long. Extremely heat tolerant, Elephant's Foot hails from South Africa. The leaves generally fall in summer, to help protect the plant from the hot sun. Reduce watering at this time as the plant rests.
Elephant's Foot is slow growing but very long lived. Easy to grow in any well drained soil and an excellent pot specimen. You can even grow them indoors in bright light.
