The base of the stems have evenly branched foliage. These Foxgloves are true perennials and will live for 3-5 years in your garden.
Foxglove blooms start to open at the bottom of the stalks and gradually move upward providing a long show of fantastic colour. This large showy plant is a striking addition to any garden.
Digitalis look best grouped toward the middle or back of a bed, where their tall blossoms add colour. Plant Foxgloves into well drained soil and keep moist in active growth. The flowers of Foxgloves are produced on a tall spike and are tubular. The individual flowers are about the size and shape of a thimble. The blooms are suitable for cutting.
