Aquilegia Clementine Red
Stunning colour.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

Upright stems packed with bright red flowers held aloft of the foliage.
The blooms of 'Clementine' Aquilegia are just gorgeous, they face upward, showing off their beauty. They are spurless, so look a bit like small Dahlias and they last well as cut flowers.
The mid green, deeply divided foliage of Aquilegia 'Clementine Red' forms a dense clump beneath the blooms.
Aquilegias soft foliage is a beautiful foil for other plants and it develop just in time to fill in for the fading spring bulbs. The new foliage starts growing in early spring.
Aquilegia 'Clementine Red' is suitable for growing in a lightly shaded to morning sun position. Plant them as massed plantings, in beds or in large containers. After the initial flowering has finished, cut the stems back to the basal foliage for future blooms. Leave the last flowers of the season to form seed heads for future generations of plants. Keep in mind seedlings are unlikely to flower true to type as they hybridise easily.
Aquilegia should be planted in humus rich, moist, well drained soil.
