A precious plant.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

Perfumed, soft pink, cupped blooms with a white halo and lemon centre. The pink petals have deeper venation running through, creating beautiful patterns. The pink takes on a deeper hue as the 5cm flower matures. Oenothera ‘Pink Petticoats’ is a rare and valuable find.
The flowers of Oenothera ‘Pink Petticoats’ open from the middle of summer right into autumn. The foliage emerges late spring, it is mid green with scalloped edges on narrow stems. The lower leaves are larger than those closer to the blooms.
Grow Oenothera ‘Pink Petticoats’ in full sun to light shade in average to humus rich, well drained soil. They thrive in hot and dry situations. Water well to establish, over the first four weeks or so, then they are dry tolerant once established. Leave a few flower heads to set seed for future generations and to increase your display, they aren’t heavy seeders by any means. The seeds will germinate naturally in spring or you can collect it to sow at the same time.
Oenothera is commonly known as Evening Primrose, though the flowers open in the daylight. Try growing Oenothera ‘Pink Petticoats’ in rock gardens, towards the front of beds and borders, along paths or even in a pot.
